RigiTech Brings Live Airspace Awareness to RigiCloud Through New SafeSky Integration

July 3, 2026

June 19th, 2026. Prilly, Switzerland – RigiTech is proud to announce a new partnership with SafeSky, delivering native integration between our fleet management platform RigiCloud and the SafeSky Network. With this integration, drone operators using RigiCloud can now connect directly to one of the largest cooperative air traffic awareness ecosystems available today, placing live airspace information at the centre of their operational workflow.

As drone operations grow more complex and increasingly move beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), one challenge stands out for every operator: understanding what is happening in the surrounding airspace in real time, and making sure other airspace users are aware of their presence. This integration is designed to address exactly that.

See and Be Seen

The integration is built around a simple but powerful principle: See and Be Seen.

See more of the airspace around you

For RigiTech customers, this means a far richer operational picture. Through the SafeSky Network, RigiCloud operators can now see not only conventional aviation traffic but also the many low altitude airspace users that are often difficult to detect with traditional surveillance systems. Depending on local coverage and equipment, this can include general aviation aircraft, helicopters, gliders, ultralights, paragliders, paramotors and other participants sharing the same airspace.

For our customers conducting BVLOS logistics flights, this added awareness can be a meaningful input into operational decision-making.

"Professional drone operations require both operational control and situational awareness. By integrating RigiCloud with SafeSky, we are giving our customers access to a broader operational picture whilst allowing them to continue using the tools and workflows they already rely on every day." Adam Klaptocz, CEO, RigiTech

Be seen by the wider aviation community

Visibility works in both directions. Through the integration, live telemetry from RigiCloud can be shared into the SafeSky ecosystem, allowing participating RigiTech operations to become visible to other airspace users. Pilots flying with the SafeSky application can receive awareness of nearby drone activity, and because SafeSky data reaches a broad ecosystem of more than thirty compatible aviation applications and platforms, RigiCloud operators can extend the visibility of their flights to a much wider audience.

The effect is cumulative. The more operators and platforms that connect, the more complete the shared picture of the airspace becomes for everyone.

Supporting SORA and operational safety

Airspace awareness has become an increasingly important part of operational risk management, particularly for operators in Europe. Under the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) methodology developed by JARUS and applied within the EASA regulatory framework, operators are expected to demonstrate how air risk is assessed and mitigated for each operation.

While every operation remains unique, access to real-time traffic awareness and cooperative visibility tools can support operators in building robust operational procedures and strengthening their overall safety case. By combining RigiCloud's mission management capabilities with SafeSky's real time traffic services, operators gain practical tools that support both day to day operational safety and longer term compliance objectives.

A step towards greater interoperability

This partnership also reflects a wider shift across the drone industry. The future of professional drone operations cannot rely on isolated platforms working independently from one another. Operators need the freedom to work within their preferred software environment whilst still contributing to and benefiting from a common operational picture.

Safety has always been at the core of RigiCloud, and this integration extends that commitment. By joining the SafeSky network, RigiCloud places its operators within an interoperable environment where different control systems both contribute to and draw from shared situational awareness. The result is a safer and more connected airspace, where information flows across platforms instead of staying locked inside them.

A Common Goal for Interoperability

For RigiTech, safety has never been an option bolted on after the fact. It is the design principle behind every BVLOS logistics mission RigiCloud runs, from route supervision and fleet coordination to detect and avoid, and it is backed by more than 3,000 hours of real world BVLOS flight experience. As RigiTech drones prepare to begin operating in SAIL III scenarios across Europe, that track record matters more than ever. The SafeSky integration extends the same principle outward: RigiCloud operators now build their air risk picture from one of the largest cooperative awareness networks in aviation, reinforcing the safety case behind every flight.

"Through this integration, RigiCloud users gain a significantly broader view of their surroundings while contributing to the visibility of the entire community. As the network of connected platforms expands, we move toward a seamless aviation environment where critical data is shared openly between operators, independent of their specific software choices." Tristan Fily, CEO, SafeSky

By aligning their technologies, RigiTech and SafeSky are empowering operators to move beyond simple mission management and achieve deeper integration within the global aviation community.
