Position description and objectives

We are looking for a dynamic Software Testing Engineer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to blend software expertise with hands-on hardware skills, contributing to the development and execution of comprehensive test routines as well as collecting and analysing the relative data and helping the creation of an automated and standardised data collection/documentation framework. Ideal candidates will possess a passion for drone technology, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to precision.

Responsibilities and duties:

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

• Set up and manage testing environments, focusing on various levels of software stacks including cloud-based services, networking components and embedded codebases.  .
• Conduct and evaluate drone test experiments with a hands-on approach to software.
• Manage load testing to simulate performance and bottlenecks of our various software packages at 10x or 100x scale. 
• Collect and analyse data, preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Develop and refine automatic test tools, focusing on hardware integration and software precision
• Create and automate end-to-end testing campaigns to ensure continued quality and performance of our codebase
• Collaborate across teams to enhance testing methodologies and implement innovative solutions.

Required qualifications and skills

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience as test engineer preferably in the aerospace or drone industry, with a focus on software aspects.
• Experience with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with hardware testing and capable of creating a testing framework for Software testing.
• Good scripting skills (preferably Python, Bash..).
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Piloting and controlling drones is a plus.

• Highly organised, independent, and detail-oriented,
• Happy to take initiative and come up with their own ideas,
• Flexible to ever-changing demands of the startup environment,
• Proficient in English (oral and written), French is a plus,
• Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.
